I really wish I could find the time to update this more, but it hasn’t happened.

Anyways…

Tomorrow, vote.  Do us all a favor and think about who you’re voting for.  I’ve asked this before but tomorrow it matters.  Do not vote for someone because your party tells you to.  Vote for the person you really think will change things for the better.  All I can ask is that you think  for yourselves tomorrow and not for your party.  This isn’t a game, your team does not win anything.  It’s about giving someone influence over you and your family’s life.

Well tomorrow is a big day for me.  I finally get to have a one-on-one meeting with the new CEO.  This should be interesting to say the least.  Then after that I have a meeting with my VP and our new CTO.  I have to believe this is all positive.  I mean if they didn’t like me or what I do then just get rid of me, yes?  Or is this my test?  I know not everyone was invited to a personal meeting with the CEO and of those who have been I have only heard good things about it.

So…we’ll see what happens.  Stay tuned.

After filling this out it seems Mr. Kucinich shares my views on 15 of the 25 topics.  I never thought of him as my running mate, guess I’ll have to dig more into his views and sway him to some of mine.

So as I mentioned before we’re going through a merger/acquistion or whatever you want to call it and we have a new management team.  A new CEO, CTO, CFO, the works, all new.  We’ve had at least one company meeting with most of the new C-levels and we were told we were going to do this together.  Only together can we succeed.  We need to build one team.  So much so that they feel the need to combine some offices.  Anyways we were expecting the new CEO to show up today with his right-hand man.  We were told to be prepared for some one-on-one meetings. 

New CEO and marketing person arrives.  Do they stop and say hello?  Do they re-introduce themselves?  Do they even give you any type of acknowledgement that you exist (a little wave or nod)?  No, no and no.

What would you make of that?  Are they just all business?  How do you build a team or expect us to build a team if you don’t acknowledge us?  Are they just too involved with what they need done?

I don’t know, but either way it’s a lousy second impression to make and frankly inexcusible even if they intend to let us all go.

Sorry for the delay in posting.  Work has been challenging lately.  We were told we were acquiring a company but it turns out that both companies have actually been acquired by a new holding company so everything is uncertain.

 What gets me is the game of kiss-ass that a lot of people are now playing.  Perhaps I’m just naive about these things but if I was the CEO I’d want some true straight talk from someone.  What are the real issues and challenges we about to go through?  If as CEO I don’t have that information it could seriously jeopardize what we are trying to accomplish.  Anyways that’s where my time has been spent lately.

Sox have been hanging tough, but those Damn Yankees (and I don’t mean the late 80’s group with Tommy Shaw and Ted Nugent) have been just been smashing the ball around and scoring runs.

I have to say I like his thinking on how to handle inmates.  I’m not endorsing what he does or how he goes about it, but I do believe he is on track on how to handle overcrowding.  Imagine “tent cities” setup in the Northeast.  They think it gets warm in Arizona, imagine being in a tent in a New England Winter.

We seem to forget that prisons should not have all the amenities of a four star hotel.  You’re not paying to be there, I’m paying for you to be there.  You’re not there to enjoy it.  It shouldn’t be easy or comfortable.

I’m not advising anyone to sign the petition at the end.  I just thought the recorded interviews of several government officials contradicting themselves (OK call it lying) was worth the view.  And of course “I’m mad as hell and can’t stand it anymore.”  is always worth a listen.

OK – it’s the first the time I can run for President, so I am.  Consider me a third-party write-in candidate.  I’m not looking for any donations for my campaign.  I’m looking to see how much impact this media may have on the forth coming election.  To that extend over the course of the coming year you will see further posts outlining my platform.  I don’t consider myself either a Democrat or Republican.  I believe now is the time for third party candidacy.  The advances in technology have allowed more and more people to express themselves through blogs, wikis and YouTube.  These online communities consists of members that cross all political views and I firmly believe most of those users would belong to one or more third party political groups instead of the two we currently have.

I ask that when you are voting consider voting for TheRealMe@onlineme.wordpress.com.  Can I do any worse?  I’m thinking probably not?  Could I do better? Hopefully yes?  You would be voting for someone who, ideally, you agree with after reading my rants and raves.  And if I win you finally get to meet TheRealMe.

Damn.  Lots to mention while I was away on vacation.  Where to start?

Chris Benoit.  I used to follow the WWE, then I found UFC.  Every now and then I check out Vince and crew to see what’s going on.  Most of the story lines are beyond horrible but occassionally the wrestling is entertaining.  I know that the recent plot involved Vince supposedly being blown up in a car.  I was real curious to see how that was going to play out, but understandably so with the Chris Benoit mess, it would seem that the Vince storyline has been undone.  Chris Benoit was a very entertaining wrestler who had little personality that could keep him on top or make him a major headliner.  I don’t believe the whole ‘roid rage’ issue in this case.  I believe we have a case of two stressed-out people (Chris and his wife) dealing with a child that needed a lot of attention and care.  That would be enough stress for normal people but wrestlers and their families are not average people.  The chosen career places a lot of strain on families and can take its toll.  Put steriods and pain meds on top of that and you have a voilatile situation.  Which in this case ended horribly.  We don’t know what went on in the Benoit house that weekend, but I cannot imagine what was going on in Chris’s head we he decided to smother his son.  From what we are being told about the situation I have to say the WWE was wrong to do that 3 hour tribute.  They should have done their standard bell count to 10 and performed their normal show and then if the police said it was nothing criminal do a tribute show for him.

Red Sox dropped 3 to Seattle – not happy about that.   Especially the two one run loses.  I also think it might be time for Mike Timlin to call it a day.  I like Timlin a lot but he doesn’t seem to helping them win games anymore.  I know the game was already lost but still you have to make outs.  I believe that makes the road trip 4-5.  Not too bad considering the Yankees are 11 out, and look at those Blue Jays coming on strong.  Good for them.

And lastly the US Senate actually did something to protect tax paying citizens, the Senate drove a stake Thursday through
President Bush’s plan to legalize millions of unlawful immigrants, likely postponing major action on immigration until after the 2008 elections.  Yea!!!!!

OK, someone needs to explain to me why same sex marriage, civil unions, etc… is so bad or harmful.  If two people are at the legal age to marry why should I care who they are marrying?  With half of all marriages failing today anyways why would we not want to see the percent of successful marriages increase?  What does it really matter if Rob marries Dave or Sue marries Karen.  How does it hurt anyone?

“Well marriage is an institution”!  So what.  Mind you own damn business and live your life not your neighbors.  I mean as long as no person or animal is being hurt then who really cares.  You don’t have to participate in it, just live and let live.  Is that so hard?

“Well that would lead to polygamy and bestiality”!  Do you even believe that?  Come on!  Let me make it real simple the law would read something like this:  Marriage between 2 people of legal age of consent is allowed.  There you go.  No animals.  No multiple wives or husbands.  Just two freaking people who love each other and want to take care of each other joining in this thing we call marriage.  As long as they obey the laws and pay their taxes who cares who there are sharing their life and bed with. 

If your life is turned upside down by someone else’s happiness then you need to re-evaluate your situation and figure out why it bothers so much.  You are the problem, not them.
